The aim of the conference is to highlight the importance of value education and character building which is conspicuous by its absence in our school and college curriculum, with the result that the whole country is facing the crisis of character in almost every walk of life. We also wish to underline the role of morality, human rights, yoga, spirituality, co-curricular activities, physical education etc.
in character building. We also wish to identify the changes required in curriculum of school and college education and their text books for promoting ideal behaviour and character building among our students. We also want to evolve the techniques strategies and devices to inculcate human values among our students. The various sub-themes included for discussion are meant for this very purpose. We hope that our above exercise will pave the way for ideal education, world brotherhood and world peace.

CALL FOR PAPERS
The scholars willing to present papers must follow the following guidelines
  • A brief abstract not exceeding 300 words should be submitted by 15th Dec 2009.
  • Name of authors, their address (postal and email) and phone /fax numbers should be given on the first page of the paper only.
  • The language of the paper may be either English or Hindi.
  • Registration is a must for paper presenters and that too in time.
  • All selected abstracts accompanied by registration fee will be published in the Souvenir.
  • Those desirous to present paper in the conference should send it duly typed on A4 size paper in maximum 8 pages and abstract 300 words. The paper and abstract should reach the Organizing Secretory by 15Dec 2009, along with the soft copy online submission of the paper can be made by email user id mgmm.edu@gmail.com

Natioanl Seminar on Easier Approach to Research Methodology In Economics

Starting with the preposition that “if we want more evidence based practice, we need more practice based evidence”, study of Economics is incomplete without statistical approach.

This seminar is mainly for those who are about tp take up research in connection with the job market, or as requirement for UG and PG courses. The seminar aims at providing the stakeholders the technical expertise on research methodology and guidance to overcome all hurdles while doing research work.

National Seminar On Current Trends in the Field of Biodiversity and Sustainable use of natural Resources

BIODIVERSITY is defined as the variety of all forms oflife.from genes to species , to the broad scale of ecosystems. Biodiversity refers to the totality of genes,species and ecosystems of a region.It has many medicinal and economic uses. Genes of wild species are used for confer new properties such as disease resistance or improved yield domesticated species.It also provides valuable indirect services thorugh natural ecosystems. the total number of species on the earth is estimated to range from 5-5.5million, but only about 1.8 million soecies have so far described.Convention on biodiversity ia an important international instrument promoting biodiversity sonservationglobaly,IUCN and WWW are the leading conservation.
SUSTAINABLE USE NATURAL RESOURCES
i s the prime need for maintenance of ecosystem. The concept of sustainabe development assumed immense importance against the growth of human population and modern man's indiscrimiate exploitation of enviroment. These two factors exhaust the enviromental resources.Thus ,a specific concern for the concept of sustainable development is, that those ,who enjoy the fruits of economic development today should not be making future generation worse off by over exploitation of natural resources.

About The College
Mata Guri is a multi faculty College that imparts Higher Education in Arts ,Commerce,Science,Management,Education and fashion designing. The College was founded in 1994 and the Department of Economics was strated in 1997-98 Academic Session.The College has attracted students from various parts of the country. The College is affiliated to RDVV and is a pioneer Institution for Womens' education in India and actively engaged in Career Counselling/Guidance & actual placement.

The new Higher Education Policy of MP Govt. has made research projects a vital part of the current curriculum.UGC & other promoting Research among the teaching faculty.
